McKinsey's newest Web site launches this week.

The site is to give some of the world's leading thinkers an opportunity to weigh in on questions that will shape the future. Every few weeks, the site will highlight a different topic, along with a related debate.

For the first, climate change, experts argue the merits of a carbon tax versus a cap-and-trade system. Along with the debate, the site also will have a rich array of articles on climate change by authorities such as sustainability expert Jeffrey Sachs and author Orville Schell. Elsewhere on the site, in sections ranging from Energy to Innovation, you'll find essays by US energy secretary Steven Chu and economist Robert Atkinson. http://whatmatters.mckinseydigital.com/
